Multiple Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Among Residents and Staff at Gwangju Hyojeong Nursing Hospital

According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 7th, as of now (2 PM), 15 people have been confirmed positive for COVID-19, registered as confirmed cases number 1293 to 1307.
Among them, 12 people, including numbers 1293 to 1303 and 1305, are related to Hyojeong Nursing Hospital. They include 8 residents and 4 staff members.
Numbers 1304 and 1307 are contacts of case number 1235, who was confirmed positive on the 5th. The infection route of case 1235 has not yet been identified.
Number 1306 was confirmed as a contact of case 1216. Case 1216 was confirmed positive on the 4th, and the infection route is under investigation.
So far, COVID-19 infections in the Gwangju area are spreading mainly around Evergreen Silver House (73 cases), Hyojeong Nursing Hospital (95 cases), and Cheongsa Church (68 cases).
Meanwhile, regarding Hyojeong Nursing Hospital, after 7 people were confirmed positive on the 2nd, 66 patients, 18 staff members, and 11 family members and acquaintances have been confirmed positive.
Fifty-eight people have been transferred to 8 regions outside Gwangju, and the 8 additionally confirmed cases will be transferred to Haearim Nursing Hospital.
