[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Public Shopping announced on the 7th that it has declared digitalization in all fields for the new year and unveiled the slogan 'DIGITAL SHIFT 21.' Choi Chang-hee, CEO of Public Shopping, delivered a New Year's message to employees and shared business plans through a non-face-to-face online opening ceremony on the 4th. The new year will be marked by the slogan 'DIGITAL SHIFT 21,' aiming to create a year of digital transformation based on data.
Public Shopping recorded its highest-ever transaction volume of 964.2 billion KRW last year, achieving a 34.7% growth compared to the previous year. This figure far exceeded the initially targeted transaction volume of 830 billion KRW. It also achieved results such as being designated as an official mask sales outlet and attracting 4.5 million new customers.
Based on the data secured through attracting new customers, Public Shopping will challenge again this year to reach 10 million customers and a transaction volume of 1 trillion KRW. CEO Choi stated, "Data should be read not as mere numbers but as signals of social change that win customers' hearts," adding, "We will achieve proactive digitalization across all fields in preparation for the post-COVID-19 era."
