"Year-End Tax Settlement Made Easy with Financial Authentication Service"… Applied to Hometax and Sontax
Year-End Tax Settlement Possible with Simple Password Entry Only
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] With the application of the Financial Authentication Service to the National Tax Service's Hometax and Sontax (mobile Hometax), users can now access the year-end tax settlement service by simply entering a 6-digit simple password without installing a separate application (app) or program.
On the 7th, the Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings Institute announced that the Financial Authentication Service has been applied to the National Tax Service's mobile Hometax, enabling users to access the year-end tax settlement service by entering only a simple password.
Customers using the Financial Authentication Service can complete authentication by selecting ‘Joint Certificate Login (formerly Public Certificate/Financial Certificate)’ on Hometax or ‘Financial Certificate Login’ on Sontax, and then entering the simple password.
The Financial Authentication Service does not require a separate app or program, so users do not need to install unwanted apps or programs for authentication. In particular, when using Hometax on a PC, authentication can be completed within Hometax itself without switching media, such as running a separate authentication app on mobile and then returning to the PC.
The Financial Authentication Service is implemented with web standards (HTML5), making it available across various devices, operating systems (Windows, Mac, iOS, Linux, etc.), and browsers (IE, Chrome, Safari, etc.).
