View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Park Beom-gye, the nominee for Minister of Justice, reported assets totaling 1.26 billion KRW including those of himself, his spouse, and two children.
According to the personnel hearing request submitted to the National Assembly by President Moon Jae-in on the 6th, Park reported bank deposits of 242.05 million KRW and financial debts of 23.26 million KRW under his name.
In real estate, he owns an apartment in Dunsan-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon valued at 285 million KRW, an officetel in Dangsan-dong, Seoul, and a leasehold right for a neighborhood living facility in Daejeon worth 70 million KRW. He also reported land in Yeongdong-gun, Chungbuk (615㎡) valued at 2.23 million KRW, half of a forest area (21,238㎡) worth 20.91 million KRW, and a 2021 model Carnival vehicle valued at 43.1 million KRW.
Park’s spouse reported bank deposits of 566.99 million KRW. The detached house and commercial building in Daegu that were held until last year have been disposed of. Park’s eldest son holds bank deposits of 13.21 million KRW, and the younger son holds 3.8 million KRW.

Park served as a private in the Army and was discharged after completing his service. His eldest son was discharged after serving as a sergeant in the Air Force, and his younger son, who is eligible for active duty as a first-class soldier, has postponed his enlistment.
