Selection of 70 Outstanding Employees Presented with the 'Bodyfriend Award'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Bodyfriend announced on the 5th that it has paid management performance bonuses to 907 former employees who worked for more than one year. Bodyfriend announced through an internal notice on the 31st that it would pay bonuses to encourage the efforts of executives and employees who achieved expected results despite difficult conditions such as the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). The bonuses were paid up to 150% of the base salary based on individual evaluations.
Additional rewards were also given through the 'Bodyfriend Awards,' which select outstanding employees who contributed to the company's development and growth. A total of 70 winners were selected across seven categories, including the Best Bodyfriend Talent Award, BF Innovation Award, BF Development Award, and the Failure Award for Great Success. The criteria for selection mainly considered performance and achievements as well as the process of overcoming challenges and adversity. Employees who actively challenged themselves despite the possibility of failure, experienced trial and error, and ultimately achieved results were awarded bonuses of up to 30 million KRW.

Although Dr. Gong experienced failures in products he led the development of, he persevered and became the key figure in developing the traction medical device Phantom Medical for cervical disc treatment, which became a flagship model. Dr. Gong said, "Many new products are scheduled to be released from the Medical R&D Center in the new year, and I will mobilize all capabilities to create the best products."
