Jung Young-chae, CEO of NH Securities, "Trust with Customers is Important"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Boryeong] Jung Young-chae, CEO of NH Investment & Securities, emphasized the importance of trust with customers.
On the 4th, CEO Jung stated in his New Year's message to employees, "Maintaining customer trust is more important than anything else."
He said, "As the non-face-to-face (untact) era has fully emerged due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), 'trustworthiness' has become the most important criterion for customers' choices. It is fundamental to prove sincerity in working for customers and provide professional services that offer differentiated value. We must establish a risk management system that can protect customers more meticulously, and furthermore, become a 'righteous company' that fulfills social responsibility."
He particularly focused on 'customer value.' CEO Jung explained, "Not only the front-line organizations that meet customers but also the company's internal systems must operate centered on this customer value. Customer value will be prioritized as the standard for allocating limited resources and for recognizing and rewarding performance."
He also mentioned the digital transformation. CEO Jung said, "We live in an era where, to satisfy customers, we leave only the essence of the business and completely change and expand the company's external form. Digital transformation is changing the nature and competitive foundation of all industries, and the financial investment industry is no exception."
He continued, "Services are becoming polarized into universal digital services and high-end services, and this is happening in all areas of financial investment services as well as asset management. While actively digitalizing traditional services, efforts are needed to strengthen our differentiated positioning in high-end services where human advisory capabilities will become more important."
