[New Year's Message] Kim Won-kyu, CEO of Ebest Investment, "Achieving Number One, Mid-sized Securities Firm"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] Kim Won-kyu, CEO of Ebest Investment & Securities, stated in his New Year's address on the 4th, "We will achieve the number one position among mid-sized securities firms."
Kim said, "Following 2019, we set record-high performance again last year," adding, "While our hard work contributed to this achievement, it is difficult to deny the influence of the market."
He emphasized, "This year, since the market is unpredictable, risk management is more necessary than ever." He also named achieving the No.1 mid-sized securities firm as this year's management goal.
He stated, "Last year, our company appeared to have reached the top tier not only in return on equity (ROE) but also in absolute profit size among 14 peer group companies," emphasizing, "Considering our equity capital ranks only around 10th among them, this is a tremendous event for us."
He also mentioned the need to expand a stable profit structure independent of market conditions. To this end, he announced plans to build a customer-centered business model, establish differentiated revenue models, reallocate human and physical capital to improve capital efficiency, and advance support functions.
