[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) has installed two additional temporary screening clinics at Hyundai Department Store Public Parking Lot (161 Apgujeong-ro) and Bangjukso Park (254-3 Yulhyeon-dong) to identify asymptomatic COVID-19 cases through proactive specimen testing, operating them until the 17th.
With this, the number of temporary screening clinics operated in Gangnam-gu to detect asymptomatic infections early in the metropolitan area has increased to four, including the ones near Exit 6 of Samseong Station (513 Yeongdong-daero) and Gaepo Digital Innovation Park (416 Gaepo-ro), which were established on the 16th of last month.
Each of the newly added temporary screening clinics is staffed with three medical personnel, three military administrative staff, and five dedicated public officials. They operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on weekends and public holidays.
Under the direction of District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun, Gangnam-gu has been providing free specimen testing to anyone regardless of symptoms from the early stages of the outbreak, following the infectious disease response principle of "early detection, early containment."
In particular, through the two previously established temporary screening clinics, 57 asymptomatic infected individuals were identified from 17,468 tests conducted as of the 2nd.
