On the 30th, a signing ceremony was held at the Daebo Group headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, attended by Chairman Choi Deung-gyu and KLPGA CEO Kang Chun-ja. The tournament will be held next July at Seowon Valley Golf Course in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, with a total prize money of 1 billion KRW. Daebo Group is a mid-sized company with annual sales of 2 trillion KRW in construction, distribution, telecommunications, and leisure sectors. It operates the highly competitive Seowon Valley Golf Course. Chairman Choi explained, "Although the economy is difficult, we hosted the tournament to fulfill the role of a corporation."
