Imsil-gun Selected as the Only Excellent Local Government in the Province for Agricultural Convenience Infrastructure
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, announced on the 29th that it was selected as an excellent local government in the agricultural production infrastructure policy field by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the only one in the province.
This year, as a permanent measure to resolve the habitual flooding areas, the county carried out the drainage improvement project in the Sinpyeong Hoam district following the Osu Singi district.
Every year, a budget of 2 billion won is allocated to develop wells and repair hydraulic facilities to secure agricultural water, and 3.3 billion won was invested to maintain agricultural infrastructure such as farm roads and drainage channels to promote farming convenience for local residents.
In addition, prioritizing the safety of residents, precise safety inspections were conducted on reservoirs with concerns of human damage, designated as disaster-risk reservoirs, and continuous maintenance has been promoted to thoroughly prepare for disasters in advance.
In particular, in this evaluation, the on-site leadership of the head of the institution, County Governor Sim Min, received high praise.
The county is also reported to have received good evaluations in disaster prevention of agricultural production infrastructure facilities, facility management, and maintenance projects that have been steadily promoted so far.
