Visiting Policy Fund Reception Sites to Hear and Directly Consult on Visiting Companies' Difficulties

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced that Chairman Kim Hak-do visited the policy fund reception site at the Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters in Changwon, Gyeongnam on the 29th to listen to the difficulties of visiting companies and conduct direct consultations.
Chairman Kim Hak-do conducted one-on-one preliminary consultations with two small and medium venture companies that visited to apply for small and medium enterprise policy funds and stated that he would do his best to ensure that policy funds are provided in a timely manner to companies in need of financial support.
Since his inauguration in May, Chairman Kim has been communicating with small and medium venture entrepreneurs through meetings and other means to hear voices from the field. This visit was also carried out to listen to the difficulties of companies facing poor financial conditions due to the economic crisis caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and to check the status of consultations.
SBC started accepting online consultation applications for 2021 small and medium enterprise policy funds from the 24th. From the 28th, preliminary consultations are being conducted at 32 regional headquarters nationwide based on online consultation applications. During the first reservation opening held on the 24th and 28th, 8,200 companies applied for preliminary consultations. On the first day of preliminary consultations, the 28th, a total of 616 companies received consultations, of which 298 companies had non-face-to-face consultations with SBC staff via wired and wireless calls.
Preliminary consultations are conducted in a non-face-to-face manner if the company wishes. However, in cases where detailed verification of supporting documents is required, such as companies applying for facility funds or companies using policy funds for the first time, more specialized consultations can be conducted through face-to-face visits to the SBC regional headquarters.

Kim Hak-do, Chairman of SBC, said, "Next year, SBC will provide 5.41 trillion won in policy funds, an increase of 820 billion won compared to this year," adding, "We will promptly support policy funds for management stabilization and innovative growth in the post-COVID era to help small and medium venture companies overcome crises."
