Top 1-5 Highest Paid Domestic Players in K League 1 Belong to Jeonbuk and Ulsan

The Korea Professional Football League announced on the 28th the salary expenditure status of players from 11 clubs in the 2020 season K League 1 (first division) and 10 clubs in K League 2 (second division).
The salary was calculated based on the actual payment amount, including base salary and various allowances (win bonus, draw bonus, appearance fee, attacking point bonus, and other options). The salary calculation target included all players registered with each club during the 2020 season.
Among them, Jeonbuk's Kim Bo-kyung received a salary of 1.358 billion KRW, ranking first among domestic football players in terms of salary.
Meanwhile, the top five highest-paid domestic players were from Jeonbuk and Ulsan. Following first place Kim Bo-kyung, second place went to Jeonbuk's Hong Jeong-ho (1.261 billion KRW), followed by Ulsan's Lee Chung-yong (1.258 billion KRW), Cho Hyun-woo (1.096 billion KRW), and Yoon Bit-garam (1.065 billion KRW).
Among foreign players, the highest-paid was Daegu FC's Cesinha (1.439 billion KRW). Next were Ulsan's Junior (1.113 billion KRW), Daejeon Hana Citizen's Andre (1.076 billion KRW), Incheon United's Mugosa (1.034 billion KRW), and Seoul's Osmar (989 million KRW).
