Daejeon to Establish Nation's First 'Public Children's Rehabilitation Hospital'... Scheduled to Open in 2022

On the 22nd, Daejeon City announced that it held a groundbreaking ceremony for the public children's rehabilitation hospital. The hospital will be located at 567-10, Gwanjeo-dong, Seo-gu, with a building area of 15,789㎡, consisting of 2 basement floors and 5 above-ground floors (70 beds). Construction is scheduled to be completed by September 2022.
The city expects that after opening, about 6,000 disabled children in the Chungcheong region will use the public children's rehabilitation hospital.
The total project cost is 44.7 billion KRW, of which 10 billion KRW will be covered by sponsorship from the Nexon Foundation.
Chungnam National University Hospital will be responsible for the hospital's construction and equipment procurement.
