Gokseong-gun Selected as Best Institution in Jeonnam Province's 2020 Local Road Maintenance Evaluation
[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Gokseong County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 22nd that it was selected as the best institution in the '2020 Local Road Maintenance Evaluation' conducted by Jeollanam-do targeting 22 cities and counties.
In this evaluation, Gokseong County actively promoted aging pavement overlay, lane painting, safety facility maintenance, bridge repair and reinforcement on a total of 16 routes covering 203 km, including delegated national roads, local roads, and county roads, receiving favorable reviews.
In particular, the 'road surface cleaning vehicle' newly introduced this year was highly praised for greatly contributing to the creation of a clean road environment.
Regarding road damage caused by the longest rainy season and heavy rainfall in history last August, the county also made efforts to minimize inconvenience to residents by promptly carrying out emergency repairs.
