[Asia Economy Reporter Son Sunhee] President Moon Jae-in sent a congratulatory letter to President-elect Joe Biden of the United States on the 15th, the Blue House announced.
Kang Min-seok, spokesperson for the Blue House, held a briefing at the press center in the afternoon and stated, "He expressed hope to cooperate with President-elect Biden to strengthen the Korea-US alliance, develop bilateral relations, achieve denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, and establish lasting peace," conveying this message.
Additionally, President Moon evaluated that "the Korea-US alliance has played a pivotal role as a core axis of peace and prosperity in the region, and based on this, Korea-US cooperation has been built," and agreed to jointly seek solutions regarding COVID-19 and climate change.
