LG Hausys Holds '2020/22 Design Trend Seminar'
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] LG Hausys held the 'LG Hausys 2021/22 Design Trend Seminar' on the 15th.
LG Hausys focused on 'home' as the interior keyword in the era of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and proposed three design themes that run through it. Considering the COVID-19 situation, this seminar was held as an online webinar, with about 3,000 participants including design experts from various fields such as architecture and interior industries, academia, and LG Hausys customers through prior registration.
The three themes proposed by LG Hausys are ‘Home Camp - a mood booster’, ‘Pent-Haus - high-quality secluded living’, and ‘Granny’s Cottage - leisurely slow life’.
‘Home Camp’ means that consumers seeking fun to overcome the gloomy feelings caused by staying at home pay attention to surreal designs, utilizing kitsch designs with graphic textures and colors as key elements in space composition.
‘Pent-Haus’ implies that as personal hygiene becomes more important, more people seek independent spaces, and accordingly, a trend of minimal spaces decorated like galleries using materials such as stone, wood, and metal to the fullest will become popular.
‘Granny’s Cottage’ signifies that designs combining retro emotional elements with fairy tale motifs such as mushrooms, butterflies, and wildflowers, reflecting the rural life dreams of consumers who grew up in urban apartments, will attract attention.
Along with holding this seminar, LG Hausys opened a ‘Design Trend Seminar Theme Hall’ at the ‘LG Z:IN Interior Z:IN Square Gangnam’ exhibition hall located in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul, allowing visitors to directly check the design themes proposed by LG Hausys for the coming year.
