Yeongdeungpo-gu, Public-Private Welfare Network Operated Online
Video Production Training for Enhancing Online Media Utilization Skills... Combined Online and Offline Sessions... Discussions on Transitioning Local Community Welfare Systems in the COVID Era and Hosting Video Conferences
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yeongdeungpo-gu (Mayor Chae Hyun-il) is operating the Yeongdeungpo-type welfare network through online methods to establish a care system realized jointly by the public and private sectors and to activate integrated case management in response to the spread of COVID-19.
The ‘Welfare Online Network’ was introduced with the purpose of operating the welfare system through non-face-to-face methods and strengthening the online media work capabilities of welfare personnel, as direct care service provision and work exchanges among welfare officers became difficult in the COVID-19 era.
Accordingly, the district held major agenda meetings on local welfare issues and integrated case management freely without time and space constraints through online video conferencing programs for public and private welfare officers, and conducted YouTube video production training that both welfare recipients and managers can easily understand and utilize, through both online and offline methods.
The training was conducted over two days on November 13 and 16, with Won Gyu-hee, CEO of the social enterprise Dodohan Collabo, who has extensive experience in network consulting and lectures, serving as the instructor.
This training covered topics under the theme ‘Online Integrated Case Meetings and Planning Methods for Videos Provided to Recipients,’ including ▲‘Online Integrated Case Meeting Tool Training,’ which involved practical exercises using Zoom and learning about the types, advantages, and disadvantages of video conferencing tools such as Webex and Skype ▲‘Welfare Channel Planning and Strategy Setting,’ which taught YouTube channel design, brand settings, and methods for deriving channel insights ▲and ‘Public-Private Institution Network Roundtable’ to prepare plans for the continuous operation of the online network.
A total of 46 public and private integrated case management officers attended the training, and participants expressed high satisfaction, saying, “It was good to communicate with welfare officers online, and it was beneficial to receive safe and professional training in preparation for the COVID-19 era.”
The district plans to fully switch the existing face-to-face public-private integrated case meetings to online video conferences and also provide ontact welfare services for vulnerable groups in information blind spots.
Additionally, it will actively utilize studio facilities within the district capable of video production to produce high-quality welfare videos.
By sharing and utilizing Yeongdeungpo-gu’s representative video production spaces such as ‘Studio Tium,’ ‘Soul Studio,’ and ‘Media Jidae’ together with welfare institutions, the district plans to focus on planning and producing welfare videos.
