Sejong to Conduct Special Emissions Crackdown on Old Diesel Vehicles Until March Next Year
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City announced on the 10th that it will conduct a special emission crackdown targeting old diesel vehicles from this month until March next year.
The special crackdown is being implemented to reduce fine dust during the winter season and improve air quality.
The city plans to carry out the crackdown by combining a stationary inspection method, which stops vehicles with high emissions during operation, and a visit inspection method, which inspects vehicles in concentrated areas such as bus terminal garages.
Vehicle owners whose vehicles exceed the emission standards during the crackdown will be ordered to have their vehicles repaired and inspected within 15 days.
At this time, all vehicle drivers must comply with the inspection, and those who evade or obstruct the inspection will be fined up to 2 million won.
