Shinsegae Food Launches 'Olban One Drink Jjukkumi Samgyeopsal'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Shinsegae Food launched the easy-to-eat anju meal 'Olban Hanjanhalrae Jjukkumi Samgyeopsal' on the 9th.
Shinsegae Food recently focused on the increase in 'home drinking' due to the rise in social distancing levels amid the resurgence of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). According to Shinsegae Food, during November, when social distancing level 2 was implemented in the metropolitan area, sales of anju convenience foods such as 'Olban Hanjanhalrae' increased by 16% compared to the previous month. This is attributed to the fact that restaurants in the metropolitan area close by 9 PM, leading customers to seek anju suitable for home drinking at large supermarkets, convenience stores, and online. Following this trend, Shinsegae Food expects more consumers to refrain from dining out and enjoy home drinking until the end of the year, and thus launched a new small-packaged cooking-style anju product in collaboration with GS Retail.
