Hong Jun-pyo: "Opposition Pretends to Block the Prosecution Office Act Revision... Just Playing a Supporting Role"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Former Liberty Korea Party leader Hong Joon-pyo criticized the opposition party by calling it a "supporting role," saying, "The revision of the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Office (HOCI) law is only pretending to block it while wasting time."
On the 9th, former leader Hong said on Facebook, "These days, the year-end political situation feels like a d?j? vu of the National Security Planning Agency (NSPA) regime when the new military regime appeared about 40 years ago."
He said, "Like the NSPA, the Democratic Party is taking control of the National Assembly and institutionally turning the world into a paradise for pro-North leftists," adding, "The current opposition party, which is acting as the Minhandang opposition party, is cooperating with the Democratic Party on the three economic repression laws, cooperating with the Justice Party on the Serious Accident Punishment Act, and only pretending to block the revision of the HOCI law while wasting time."
