214 New COVID-19 Cases in Seoul Yesterday... Jongno Pagoda Town Cluster Grows to 133

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Despite Seoul city's proactive measures to strengthen quarantine, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Seoul area has exceeded 200 for six consecutive days.
As of midnight on the 8th, Seoul city announced that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases increased by 214 from the previous day, bringing the total cumulative confirmed cases to 10,663.
Among the new confirmed cases, 22 were classified as related to the Pagoda Town in Jongno-gu, increasing the total number of confirmed cases related to this restaurant (residing in Seoul) to 133.
Additionally, 4 new confirmed cases (total 19) emerged from a restaurant in Yongsan-gu, and 3 new cases each were reported from an indoor sports facility II in Jungnang-gu (total 42), a hospital in Jungnang-gu (total 20), a home shopping company in Mapo-gu (total 24), a dance academy in Gangseo-gu (195), and a market in Jung-gu (total 14).
Other confirmed cases include 86 from existing small cluster infections or contact with other confirmed cases, 18 from contact with confirmed cases from other cities or provinces, 2 imported cases, and 60 cases under investigation for infection routes.
In Seoul, the number of deaths due to COVID-19 increased by 2 the previous day, bringing the total cumulative deaths to 104.
So far, 7,029 people have been declared recovered and discharged, while 3,530 are currently undergoing isolation treatment.
