Gwangyang Rotary Club, Completion Ceremony of the 6th "House of Love" Home
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Gwangyang Rotary Club (President Park Jong-myung) conducted the 'Love House Building No. 6 Shelter Project' for a disabled household in Okryong-myeon on October 5th and held a completion ceremony on the 4th.
At the event, Provincial Assemblyman Lee Yong-jae, Rotary International District 3610 Governor Woo Kwang-il, local residents, the president and members of the Gwangyang Rotary Club, and sponsoring companies attended to celebrate the completion of the Love House Building project.
The target household for this Love House Building project was a household with a brain lesion disability located in Okryong-myeon, living in a deteriorated and poor residential environment.
Accordingly, with a project cost of 50 million KRW for about 14 pyeong, the existing residence was demolished and newly constructed into a house equipped with two rooms, a kitchen, and an indoor bathroom.
The Gwangyang Rotary Club has been promoting the Love House Building project annually since 2015, supporting a total project cost of 200 million KRW for five households by receiving members' dues and subsidies from the foundation headquarters.
Park Jong-myung, president of the Gwangyang Rotary Club, said, "I would like to express my gratitude to those who have helped in every way until the completion of the Love House Building," and pledged, "We will continue to participate in creating a happy society together with our neighbors."
Kim Jong-ho, head of the Resident Welfare Division, said, "I would like to once again express my gratitude for the Gwangyang Rotary Club's dedicated volunteer spirit and devoted practice," and added, "I hope they will continue to support neighbors in need."
