Seoul Reports 244 New COVID-19 Cases Yesterday... 90 Linked to Jongno Pagoda Town

As of midnight on the 7th, Seoul city announced that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Seoul area increased by 244 from the previous day, bringing the total cumulative confirmed cases to 10,449.
The daily confirmed cases in Seoul first exceeded 200 on the 25th of last month (212 cases), then seemed to slightly decrease, but have continued with 262 cases on the 2nd, 295 on the 3rd, 235 on the 4th, and 254 on the 5th of this month.
Among the new confirmed cases on this day, 17 were related to Pagoda Town in Jongno-gu (cumulative 90), 9 related to a hospital in Dongdaemun-gu (cumulative 42), 7 related to Baekdusan Sauna in Dongjak-gu (cumulative 29), 5 related to a hospital in Jungnang-gu (cumulative 17), and 3 related to an insurance company in Guro-gu (cumulative 28).
Additional confirmed cases were also reported at two saunas in Seocho-gu and a dance training facility in Gangseo-gu.
Other cases include 120 from contact with confirmed patients, 26 from contact with confirmed patients in other cities and provinces, 13 imported cases from overseas, and 38 cases with infection routes under investigation.
Also, one patient who had been confirmed and was undergoing treatment died, bringing the total cumulative deaths in Seoul to 102.
So far, 6,952 people in Seoul have been declared recovered and discharged, while 3,395 are currently in isolation and treatment. The total number of people in self-quarantine is 21,047.
