Support for Labor Costs of Newly Hired Employees... Open Recruitment Until the 15th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Daeseok) announced on the 4th that it will promote the ‘4th Industrial Revolution IT Workforce Job Creation Support Project,’ which provides wage support to companies that newly hire young people as regular employees in the IT field.
The ‘4th Industrial Revolution IT Workforce Job Creation Support Project’ is part of the Korean New Deal project aimed at expanding youth employment, alleviating the financial burden on companies, revitalizing the local economy, and accelerating the transition to a digital economy.
Applications for participating companies will be publicly accepted until the 15th.
The target applicants are companies located in Seo-gu that plan to newly hire young people as regular employees in IT-utilizable positions. Applications can be submitted by visit, mail, or email during the application period.
Participating companies will be selected through qualification screening, and from January to February 2021, young job seekers will be publicly recruited. Ultimately, companies that hire young people as regular employees will receive project funding.
Selected companies can receive support of 80% of the monthly wage (up to 1.6 million KRW per month) for up to two years starting from March 2021. Young employees will receive various benefits such as employment retention incentives, self-development support funds, job training, and labor consultation.
A Seo-gu official said, “We hope that this project will continuously expand the 4th Industrial Revolution-related fields in the region and enable young people to secure stable, quality jobs locally.”
