Korea National Oil Corporation (President Yang Soo-young) held the ‘2020 Love Side Dish Sharing Volunteer Service’ event on the 4th for low-income families in the Ulsan area.
To promote the culture of sharing in the local community and help marginalized neighbors, 15 people including Kim Kyung-min, Head of Management Support Headquarters of the Oil Corporation, and Noh Seon-sook, Director of Welfare and Environment Bureau of Jung-gu Office, participated in the event and carefully prepared about 200 side dish packages worth 13 million KRW, consisting of kimchi, side dishes, and grains.
The side dish packages will be delivered to low-income households in the district through the Ulsan Jung-gu Office.
Due to social distancing measures for COVID-19, the Oil Corporation replaced the traditional kimjang sharing volunteer service with the side dish package volunteer service.
To revitalize the local economy, the packages were prepared with ingredients and side dishes purchased from local traditional markets.
Kim Kyung-min, Head of Management Support Headquarters of the Oil Corporation who participated in the volunteer service, said, “We will share warm affection with the marginalized groups in the region and take the lead in realizing social value together with the local community.”
