Arrest Warrant to Be Requested for Whip-related Obstruction of Official Duties Charge
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced on the 2nd that they have apprehended a man identified as A, who falsely reported the installation of an explosive device at ASEM Tower in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the 10th of last month.
According to the police, Mr. A is suspected of calling 112 around 6 p.m. on the 10th of last month and saying, "If the money is not deposited by Monday, I will detonate a bomb."
As a result, more than 130 officials from the police, fire department, and military were deployed to search for explosives, causing a commotion as about 4,000 citizens inside the building were evacuated.

A police official stated, "Mr. A was caught near his residence late on the 1st," adding, "We plan to apply for an arrest warrant on charges of obstruction of official duties by deception."
