This Year's Suneung Cold... Need to Wear Thin Layers
Most of the Country's Morning Temperatures Below Freezing
Daytime Highs Also Stay Between 5 and 10 Degrees
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] On the day of the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT), morning temperatures in most regions nationwide are expected to drop below freezing, resulting in cold weather.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 2nd, the lowest morning temperatures on the 3rd are expected to be -2°C in Seoul, and -1°C in Incheon and Daejeon. Chuncheon and Sejong will drop to as low as -5°C. Daegu will be at 0°C, Gwangju at 1°C, and Busan at 4°C. With the wind, the wind chill temperature may feel 1 to 3 degrees colder. Although raindrops are expected along the western coast of Jeolla during the day, there is no special snow or rain forecast nationwide.
The daytime high temperatures will also not rise much, staying around 5 to 10 degrees Celsius. Therefore, test takers should leave home dressed warmly. Especially since windows will be opened for ventilation during each test session, it is better to wear thin layers of clothing to maintain body heat. You can check the weather at the test site in advance through the Korea Meteorological Administration's Weather Nuri website.
