HDC Hyundai Development Company, Untact Technology 'I-Park' Entry via Facial Recognition
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] HDC Hyundai Development Company is gaining attention for actively introducing various non-face-to-face (untact) technologies in its 'I-Park' apartments.
This strategy is in response to the changes in residential culture brought about by the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to HDC Hyundai Development on the 30th, the company plans to introduce an application utilizing facial recognition technology for the complex entry system starting with the I-Park apartments contracted in the first half of next year.
When residents register their faces and information through the app, they can enter the main entrance without entering a separate password or tagging a card. An HDC Hyundai Development official explained, "We have enhanced security by applying technology that prevents intrusion through photos, videos, masks, etc."
Earlier, HDC Hyundai Development also introduced the residential service platform 'MyHomi (photo)' to facilitate smooth communication among residents. Currently applied in 7 complexes nationwide, covering 13,000 households, MyHomi allows residents to use services such as management fee inquiry, electronic voting, community facility reservations, lifestyle convenience services, and online shopping malls.
Additionally, HDC Hyundai Development has developed a smart LED remote control system and is applying it at I-Park construction sites. This system enables remote control of lighting at sites where smart LED mood lighting has been installed. After the completion of lighting work in the complex, inspections can be conducted remotely instead of on a per-unit basis.
HDC Hyundai Development is also digitalizing its work environment. Employees working from home due to COVID-19 prevention measures are minimizing paperwork and face-to-face reporting by utilizing cloud-based collaboration platforms.
