Foreign Exchange and Securities Markets to Open One Hour Late on Suneung Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Eun-byeol] On the 3rd of next month, when the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) is held, the foreign exchange and securities markets will open one hour later than usual.
According to the Seoul Foreign Exchange Market Operation Council on the 28th, the opening time of the interbank foreign exchange market on the day of the CSAT will be delayed from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. However, the closing time remains the same at 3:30 p.m.
The Korea Exchange will also delay the opening and closing times of the regular securities and derivatives markets by one hour. Accordingly, on the 3rd of next month, the regular markets for stocks, Exchange-Traded Funds (ETF), and Exchange-Traded Notes (ETN) will open at 10 a.m. and close at 4:30 p.m.

However, some derivatives markets and general commodities markets will either delay only the opening time by one hour or have no change in trading hours at all.
