Justice Party "Disaster Relief Fund, 300,000 Won per Citizen Nationwide... 1,000,000 Won Additional for Self-Employed"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] The Justice Party has proposed providing a third round of disaster relief funds of 300,000 won each to all citizens and an additional 1 million won, equivalent to half of the average monthly rent, to self-employed individuals. Reflecting this, the budget scale would be 21 trillion won.
Kang Eun-mi, the floor leader of the Justice Party, held a press conference at the National Assembly on the 26th and stated, "We demand the allocation of 21 trillion won for the third disaster relief fund."
Floor leader Kang said, "The Democratic Party is only proposing 2 trillion won, and the People Power Party is proposing 3.6 trillion won, which is a meager amount for the third emergency disaster relief fund," adding, "I suspect that the proposals from the first and second largest parties in the assembly are merely for show, influenced by the by-elections."
She continued, "We should allocate 15.6 trillion won to provide 300,000 won to all citizens and 5.7 trillion won to support all 5.67 million self-employed individuals with 1 million won, which is half of the average monthly rent."

Floor leader Kang also emphasized, "The idea of selectively providing the third emergency disaster relief fund will only disappoint the public," and stressed, "If it is difficult to establish the 2021 main budget, consideration should be given to preparing the fifth supplementary budget bill."
