The ‘Civil Petition System Improvement Best Practice Competition’ involves central government ministries, local governments nationwide, and city/provincial education offices participating to discover improvement cases related to civil petition systems closely connected to the daily lives of citizens.
A total of 156 improvement cases were submitted to this competition, and after document screening, online voting, and expert evaluation, Gangjin-gun’s case was finally selected for the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award.
Gangjin-gun’s drone-utilized road name address assignment service is conducted for buildings without layout plans such as weekend farms, management offices, and agricultural sheds resulting from return-to-farming and return-to-village movements.
The responsible public officials create layout plans from photos taken by drones and provide them to residents who need road name addresses, offering a service that saves time and costs and has received great responses from users.
The awards ceremony for the competition is scheduled to be held at the ‘Civil Petition Officials Day’ commemorative event next month.
In addition, Gangjin-gun was selected as an excellent local government in the 2020 Road Name Address Business Promotion Evaluation and received the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award. This is a consecutive award following the 2020 National Life-Related Civil Petition System Improvement Best Practice Competition.
