Gwangju Bank Awarded Commendation by Gwangju Nambu Police Station for Voice Phishing Prevention Efforts
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Bank (President Song Jong-wook) announced on the 26th that it received a commendation from the Gwangju Nambu Police Station (Chief Jo Gyu-hyang) for its efforts in preventing voice phishing.
The recipient of this commendation is Deputy Manager Kim Yang-hyun of Gwangju Bank's Seodong Branch, who prevented voice phishing amounting to 11.7 million won through great interest and proactive measures against financial fraud.
Deputy Manager Kim repeatedly asked customers requesting large cash withdrawals about the reasons for the withdrawal and mentioned recent cases of damage to encourage them to consult with the police.
