According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 26th, with 10 additional confirmed cases, they were classified as Gwangju cases 637 to 646.
In particular, contacts of a previously confirmed Sangil Middle School student (case 635) tested positive in diagnostic tests.
Cases 642, 643, and 645 are family members of case 635, including parents and an older brother. The older brother attends another middle school, raising concerns about local transmission.
The quarantine authorities plan to set up a screening clinic at the middle school and conduct a full investigation of about 500 students and staff.
Case 646 was confirmed to be a classmate of case 635. The infection route of case 635 has not yet been identified.
Additionally, a cluster of confirmed cases emerged from pre-release tests during self-quarantine related to Homac Jinwol branch and Chonnam National University Hospital.
