According to health authorities on the 25th, three people in Gwangju tested positive for COVID-19, classified as cases 634 and 635. Including the previously confirmed case 633, a total of three cases were confirmed on the same day.
Case 634 was confirmed to have had contact with case 322 in Jeonnam. Case 322 in Jeonnam is a contact of Gwangju case 572, who is linked to the Gwangju Sangmu Room Soju Bar cluster.
Case 635 is a student at Sangil Middle School in Seo-gu, and the route of infection is currently under investigation. Symptoms appeared the day before, and the student visited a screening clinic for testing.
The student did not attend school the previous day but was confirmed to have attended classes until the 23rd. At that time, Sangil Middle School conducted in-person classes for 1st and 3rd grades, while 2nd grade had remote classes.
