Delivered to over 300 elderly living alone in 15 rural farming and fishing areas nationwide
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Lotte Hi-Mart announced on the 25th that it will donate over 300 heating product sets to elderly people living alone who are vulnerable to the cold.
The heating products consist of a 'shoulder red bean heating pack' and the private brand (PB) product 'Hi-Made Electric Blanket.' The donation ceremony will be held at the Elderly Living Alone Comprehensive Support Center located in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, with Moon Byung-chul, Head of Product Division at Lotte Hi-Mart, and Kim Hyun-mi, Director of the Elderly Living Alone Comprehensive Support Center, in attendance. The heating product sets will be distributed to over 300 elderly people living alone in 15 rural fishing and farming areas nationwide through the Elderly Living Alone Comprehensive Support Center.

The included 'shoulder red bean heating pack' was made through the voluntary participation of over 300 Lotte Hi-Mart employees nationwide in a non-face-to-face volunteer activity. Employees who wished to participate received the DIY kits individually and used their personal time throughout October to assemble the heating packs. The 'shoulder red bean heating pack,' along with the 'Hi-Made Electric Blanket,' will be delivered to over 300 elderly people living alone in 15 rural fishing and farming areas nationwide, where it has become difficult to use group facilities such as welfare centers and shelters due to strengthened social distancing measures.
