Lotte Food Pasteur Launches Easily Digestible Milk
99.965% Antibiotic-Free Certified Farm Raw Milk, 0% Lactose
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Lotte Food Pasteur announced on the 25th that it will launch "easily digestible milk." It is lacto-free milk made by low-temperature pasteurization of raw milk from the only antibiotic-free certified farm in Korea.
Pasteur's easily digestible milk contains lactase enzyme that breaks down lactose, the cause of stomach pain, reducing digestive burden. People who lack lactase enzyme and experience stomach pain and diarrhea when drinking milk alone can enjoy it comfortably.
It is made from eco-friendly antibiotic-free certified farm raw milk, providing greater peace of mind. To receive antibiotic-free (Non Antibiotic) certification from the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service, various stringent conditions must be met, including not only antibiotic criteria but also barn and breeding conditions, livestock stocking and breeding methods, feed and nutrition management, animal welfare and disease control, quality management during transportation, slaughter, and processing, and livestock manure treatment.
Eco-friendly antibiotic-free milk has grown significantly despite the overall milk market facing difficulties. According to the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service, antibiotic-free certified milk, which was only 5,973 tons in 2009, increased more than 11 times to 66,899 tons in 2019. During the same period, total raw milk production remained at about 2 million tons annually.
Additionally, eco-friendly packaging certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) was used. FSC certification is granted to products that use raw materials produced through legal afforestation and logging to ensure more forests are responsibly managed, and that all processes from processing, manufacturing, to distribution are environmentally managed.
