Mapo-gu Recruiting 25 University Students for Winter Vacation Part-Time Jobs
Selected students work 5 days a week, 5 hours a day... Daily wage 53,510 KRW (including lunch fee)
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Mapo-gu (Mayor Yoo Dong-gyun) will recruit students to participate in the winter vacation part-time job for university students, which will be operated for four weeks from January 4 to January 29, 2021.
The district has operated a university student part-time job program every year during vacation periods, providing local university students with valuable opportunities to participate in district administration, gain a proper understanding of public service, and help with tuition fees.
The recruitment period is five days from November 30 to December 4, targeting university students or students on leave of absence under the Higher Education Act who are registered residents of Mapo-gu as of November 30, the first day of application.
A total of 25 students will be recruited, of which 8 students who belong to basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income groups, registered disabled persons, families with three or more children, North Korean defectors, multicultural families, national veterans, etc., will be given priority selection.
University students wishing to apply for the winter vacation part-time job can apply through the Mapo-gu website during the recruitment period. The final candidates will be selected by a computerized public lottery, and the lottery results will be announced around 6 p.m. on December 11 through the Mapo-gu website.
The selected students will work five days a week, five hours a day, assisting with administrative support and civil service guidance at various Mapo-gu departments, community service centers, and Mapo Central Library, receiving a daily wage of 53,510 KRW (including lunch expenses).
Considering the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the district plans to provide repeated guidance on infection prevention rules to be observed during part-time work at the pre-orientation for participating students and urge strict compliance.
