Good Neighbors Holds Inauguration Ceremony for 1st Cohort of Play Empathy Activists in Naju Region
Play Empathy Activist Directly Operates Play Program for 258 Children at 5 Elementary Schools in Naju, Jeonnam
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Good Neighbors Jeonnam Central Branch announced on the 23rd that it appointed three students from the Department of Counseling Psychology at Dongshin University as Play Empathy Activists.
According to the 2018 Good Neighbors Korea Child Rights Index research results, the Jeonnam region scored 60.1 points, which is 14.9 points lower than Ulsan, the region with the highest child rights protection index, making it the lowest score nationwide.
Accordingly, Good Neighbors Jeonnam Central Branch conducted eight sessions of preliminary training for three students from the Department of Counseling Psychology at Dongshin University?Lee Jaegun, Bae Minkyeong, and Baek Jayeon?and officially appointed them as Play Empathy Activists.
The Play Empathy Activists carried out activities to guarantee the right to play for children in the Jeonnam region. From September 23 to November 6, they conducted play workshops to raise awareness of children's right to play and operated play programs for 258 children at five elementary schools in the Naju area of Jeonnam.
