19,000 Households Nationwide Move In December... 3,000 Households in Seoul
17 Complexes in the Seoul Metropolitan Area with 12,507 Households, 9 Complexes in Provinces with 6,571 Households
[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] Zigbang announced on the 23rd that the nationwide apartment move-in volume for December was counted at 19,078 households.
By region, the metropolitan area will have 12,507 households across 17 complexes, and the provinces will have 6,571 households across 9 complexes moving in. The metropolitan area supply is at a similar level to the previous month (12,637 households). In Seoul, about twice as many households as the previous month, 3,039 households, will move in, and in Gyeonggi Province, large complexes in Gwacheon, Siheung, and Pyeongtaek will start move-ins, making it the region with the highest move-in volume. In the provinces, move-in volumes are supplied mainly in Daejeon and Busan but decrease by about 43% compared to the previous month.
Ham Young-jin, head of Zigbang Big Data Lab, said, "Generally, move-in volumes tend to concentrate at the end of the year, but this year, the move-in schedules for each complex are relatively evenly planned, so the year-end move-in volume does not appear to be heavily concentrated."
