The donated fund this time amounts to 15,516,233 KRW, created by combining about 7.75 million KRW collected from employees over the year and an equal amount contributed by the company. This will be used for the treatment costs of children diagnosed with pediatric cancer and rare incurable diseases. The total amount donated by Lotte Foods employees for pediatric cancer treatment has reached over 62 million KRW to date.
Lotte Foods began raising funds through the "Employee Salary Rounding-Up Campaign" in August 2016 to share the love received from neighbors. The campaign collects the change under 1,000 KRW from willing employees' salaries, and the company matches the same amount to form the fund, which is used meaningfully every year. Since 2017, donations for pediatric cancer patients have been made annually at the end of the year, marking the fourth year this year.
