[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] President Moon Jae-in emphasized that international solidarity and cooperation are the foundation for reviving the global economy through his leading remarks at the 'Group of Twenty (G20)' virtual summit.
Kang Min-seok, spokesperson for the Blue House, stated during a briefing at the Chuncheon Press Center on the 22nd, "On the first day of the G20 summit, the top-tier global economic forum, the theme of the first session was overcoming the pandemic, growth, and job recovery," adding, "President Moon said in his leading remarks that humanity needs hope now and stressed that international solidarity and cooperation are more urgent than ever."
In particular, President Moon pointed out at the G20 special summit the achievements of international solidarity and cooperation in detail, diagnosing that the expansive fiscal policies of member countries amounting to a total of 11 trillion dollars have laid the groundwork for the global economy to rise together through international solidarity and cooperation.
Spokesperson Kang said, "It is an assessment that the entire world is overcoming the worst economic crisis in history together."
Furthermore, President Moon welcomed the G20's agreement on cross-border movement of essential personnel such as businesspeople. Kang stated, "The cross-border movement of essential personnel, including businesspeople, was advocated at the G20 special meeting last March and is expected to be included in this summit's declaration."
