Sejong Extends COVID-19 'Emergency Livelihood Support' Period... Until the 30th of This Month
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City announced on the 22nd that the application deadline for emergency livelihood support for vulnerable households will be extended from the 20th to the 30th of this month.
The emergency livelihood support for vulnerable households is provided to households whose income has decreased due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), with a standard median income of 75% or less (KRW 3,562,000 for a four-person household) and assets of KRW 350 million or less.
Applicants must submit supporting documents to prove income reduction. However, if objective evidence is difficult to provide, support can be received by simply submitting a self-declaration of income reduction.
The support fund will be paid once by next month. The city plans to prioritize payments to those with an income reduction rate of 25% or more, and for those with 25% or less, payments will be made in order of higher income reduction rates within the budget range.
The support amounts are KRW 400,000 for a single-person household, KRW 600,000 for a two-person household, KRW 800,000 for a three-person household, and KRW 1,000,000 for households of four or more.
