Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy Hosts 5th Mid-sized Company-Startup Digital Transformation Win-Win Lounge

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced that, together with the Korea Association of Mid-sized Enterprises, the Industrial Intelligence Association, and the Korea International Trade Association, it will hold the "5th Mid-sized Enterprise-Startup Digital Transformation Win-Win Lounge" on the 20th from 9 a.m. at the COEX Startup Branch in Seoul.
The "Digital Transformation Win-Win Lounge" is an innovation platform designed to support securing new growth engines by combining innovative startups' ideas with the capabilities and experience of mid-sized enterprises.
This event was held as part of the "2020 Mid-sized Enterprise Week" from the 16th to the 20th. About 50 representatives from mid-sized enterprises, startups, and investment institutions are expected to attend.
The event will include sharing best cooperation cases between mid-sized enterprises and startups, investment presentations, and signing of business agreements.
With the new participation of the Trade Association, the scope of participating startups and the utilization of overseas networks will be expanded.
Three organizations will sign a business agreement. The agreement includes ▲support for digital transformation cooperation between mid-sized enterprises and startups ▲creation of an environment to promote digital transformation ▲support to strengthen global competitiveness.
Representatives of mid-sized enterprises and startups discovered and cooperating through the previous four events will participate in the event to introduce cooperation cases and share experiences during the cooperation process.
At the investment presentation, five startups will present digital transformation business ideas that can cooperate with mid-sized enterprises in fields such as deep learning, data analysis, and visualization.
Cheon Young-gil, Director of Mid-sized Enterprise Policy at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, emphasized, "For small and mid-sized enterprises to become the main players of a 'jar-shaped economy' with a strong middle in the post-COVID era, digital transformation through solidarity and cooperation between companies is important."
