Seoul City and Aekyung Industrial Support 3,000 Sets of Household Goods Worth 1 Billion KRW to Vulnerable Groups
9 Years of Donating Household Goods Since 2012... Total Exceeds 21.1 Billion KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Seoul Metropolitan Government, Aekyung Industrial Co., Ltd., and the Seoul Metropolitan Social Welfare Council Seoul Metropolitan Food Bank Center announced that they will hold the '2020 Hope Package Donation Ceremony with Love and Respect' at 1:30 PM on the 20th at the Aekyung Industrial headquarters.
Attendees include Lim Jae-young, CEO of Aekyung Industrial, Kim Hyun-hoon, Chairman of the Seoul Metropolitan Social Welfare Council, and Kim Sun-soon, Director of Seoul Welfare Policy Office.
This event was planned to deliver a message of hope to overcome the difficult situation together with vulnerable groups around us who are suffering from the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). Aekyung Industrial will deliver 3,000 sets of daily necessities packages worth 1 billion KRW to vulnerable groups such as elderly living alone and single-parent families.
The Hope Package consists of 20 types of daily necessities including toothbrushes, shampoo, hand sanitizing tissues, and hand wash, and will be delivered to the metropolitan food bank center to be distributed to food banks and markets in 25 autonomous districts.
Aekyung Industrial has donated more than 20.1 billion KRW worth of its products annually since 2012 to help neighbors in need living in Seoul.
