At the meeting, a report was given on the achievements of the 'Sharing Box Project,' which delivered packages of goods promoted as a special project throughout the year, the 'Happy Side Dish Project,' which prepared and delivered side dishes, and public-private cooperation projects. In addition, the promotion of the 4th quarter 2020 Jangcheon-myeon Community Security Council special projects was also discussed.
The bathing outing project for elderly people living alone, which was planned as a special project for the 4th quarter by the Community Security Council, was changed to another project considering the health condition of elderly people vulnerable to infectious diseases due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Also, due to ongoing infectious diseases causing income reduction and difficulties in economic activities, it was decided to prepare and deliver packages containing daily necessities, supplementary food sets, and fruits to affected households.
It was agreed to support two households facing economic difficulties due to illness and income reduction with a total of 200,000 won, 100,000 won each, from the Community Security Council's emergency relief fund.
Im Jeong-seong, the private committee chairman, said, "It was a meaningful time for the committee members to share opinions on how to better embrace the neighbors in need in Jangcheon-myeon next year."
