This Blue Dragon Film Awards will present awards in a total of 18 categories. The nominated films being screened cover 15 categories, excluding the Cheongjeongwon Popular Star Award, Cheongjeongwon Short Film Award, and Korean Film Audience Award.

By entering the event on the Blue Dragon Film Awards website or the U+ Mobile TV app, participants can receive coupons to watch nominated films on video-on-demand (VOD) for free on a first-come, first-served basis. First-come coupons will also be given. U+ Mobile TV is available for subscription and use by anyone regardless of their current telecommunications provider.
