On the same day, Mayor Lee met sequentially with Joo Ho-young, the floor leader of the People Power Party, Chu Kyung-ho, the secretary of the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, and budget committee members to request support for newly reflected and increased projects.
On this day, Mayor Lee focused on urging the inclusion of major projects such as ▲Construction of the Pohang~Yeongdeok Expressway (including the Yeongilman crossing section) ▲Establishment of the East Coast Marine Complex Exhibition Center ▲Creation of the Pohang-style Smart Aquaculture Cluster Project ▲Establishment of a resource circulation cluster for used electric vehicle batteries.
Regarding the US military Apache firing training operated since April at the Pocheon Rodriguez shooting range, Mayor Lee met sequentially with Min Hong-chul, chairman of the National Defense Committee of the National Assembly, and lawmakers Hong Joon-pyo, Ha Tae-kyung, and Han Ki-ho to request continuous attention. The issue of the Suseong shooting range has temporarily subsided following the Ministry of National Defense's announcement on the 13th to suspend US military helicopter firing training in South Korea.

Mayor Lee Kang-deok emphasized, "Pohang is in a more difficult situation than ever, as damage from not only COVID-19 but also the earthquake has yet to be restored," adding, "Securing national funds is more important than anything else to ensure the smooth progress of major pending projects such as the urban regeneration New Deal project."
