$3 Million Export Contract Signed at the "World-Class Product Show" Venue... Successfully Concluded
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] From the 2nd to the 13th, the 'World-Class Product Show 2020' was held, resulting in export contracts worth 3 million dollars.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced on the 16th that the 'World-Class Product Show 2020' was successfully held at KOTRA headquarters in Seoul.
This event was held as part of the Korea Sale Festa to support export-strong small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) including world-class product manufacturers.
The event was attended by 115 strong and medium-sized enterprises from the bio-health, materials, parts, equipment, and consumer goods sectors, and 102 prominent buyers, conducting purchase consultations worth a total of 50 million dollars.
On-site, export contracts worth 3 million dollars and cooperation agreements (MOUs) worth 7 million dollars were concluded. For example, small but strong kitchenware manufacturer Company A signed an export contract worth 1.5 million dollars with a Saudi Arabian buyer during the consultation.
Mid-sized company B, which produces concrete pump trucks, signed a cooperation agreement worth 4 million dollars with a Vietnamese buyer at the consultation.
As a side event, a technology cooperation consultation meeting was held concurrently with Belgium's world-renowned research and development institute IMEC to support semiconductor companies seeking R&D partnerships.
On the 13th, Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun visited the KOTRA video consultation center to encourage participating companies striving to expand exports.

An official from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said, "We hope that world-class product manufacturers facing difficulties due to COVID-19 will have expanded opportunities to enter the global market through this event," adding, "We plan to actively support overseas marketing for capable small and medium-sized enterprises going forward."
