[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Seungro Lee) has produced the seventh edition of Seongbuk-gu's policy newsletter titled "2020 Q3, Happy Seongbuk Policy Story through Communication."
The policy magazine is a district newsletter that provides useful information to residents by explaining various statistics closely related to residents' daily lives, such as policies promoted by Seongbuk-gu, welfare, culture, and safety, in an easy and interesting way. It was first produced on August 31, 2018, and has reached its seventh edition.
The policy magazine is composed of six sections: ▲Keyword Seongbuk ▲Data in Daily Life ▲Seongbuk Told by Statistics ▲Policy Focus ▲Seongbuk Village Stories ▲Seongbuk Living Information, and can be easily accessed via the 'Policy Magazine' shortcut button at the top of the Seongbuk-gu Office website.
In this "Seventh Story of the Policy Magazine," following the previous issue, the COVID-19 response district diary "COVID-19, Overcoming Together in Seongbuk" is included, covering the urgent scenes in Seongbuk-gu during August and September when confirmed COVID-19 cases surged, as well as efforts to revive local businesses.
In particular, to analyze the impact of COVID-19 using big data, living population data provided by Seoul City was utilized. Changes in the living population according to the implementation stages of social distancing were analyzed from multiple angles by date, stage, and neighborhood compared to the same period last year through statistics and GIS.
Additionally, the magazine includes major policies and living information of Seongbuk-gu such as the residential status of Seongbuk-gu, the expansion of resident autonomy committees to all neighborhoods in 2021, the ethnic poet Shin Dong-yeop, the construction of the customer convenience center at Dolgoti Market in Seokgwan-dong, and the establishment of the integrated health center for Jangwi-Seokgwan households.
Seungro Lee, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, stated, "The COVID-19 situation has continued for over 10 months, with sporadic and continuous occurrences, and now we are transitioning to the With-COVID era. We plan to preserve records of Seongbuk-gu's policies and sites responding to COVID-19 and continue to prioritize quarantine responses and livelihood stabilization that put residents' safety and lives first."
