Plastic dividers for CSAT exams to be recycled... Collaboration between Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Education
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Education announced on the 15th that they will establish a collaborative system to reuse and recycle the plastic partitions used in this year's College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT).
After deciding to use plastic partitions for quarantine purposes in the CSAT, the two ministries have been discussing reuse plans together with metropolitan and provincial offices of education, the Korea Environment Corporation, and the Korea Recycling Resource Distribution Center.
After the CSAT ends, the Ministry of Education will identify the demand for reuse and the volume requiring separate disposal. The metropolitan and provincial offices of education will supply the pre-arranged reuse sites considering the regional volume generated. The remaining volume will be handled by coordinating collection schedules and methods with local governments and recycling companies.
